I took this across the Valley after checking on Shchimmerella & Rawnie Spangle.

This is my “baby” in her Grandmother’s wedding dress. My mother made this dress ~ my father cut out the pieces with his eyes closed so he saw it not! I love this dress & wanted to wear it for mine own wedding, but it was marked & we only found a dry cleaner who could clean it after the ceremony. I added the top insert for a play I was in, but it’s only tacked, so can easily be removed. The work that went into this dress is incredible ~ the sleeves & back are closed by tiny buttons. The material is a willow-pattern brocade (I think ~ the brocade bit anyway, the woven pattern is definitely the willow-pattern story). Somewhere I have a picture of me in this dress

This looks like a high-speed Snegurochka, but I fear she is just blurred.

I’m not sure which of these has a greater identity problem ~ the dog is a puppy (4 1/2 months old) & very male. The tiny babies are suckling KITTENS who were curled up with him before 1 decided to go exploring. Mumma Cat (ScrappyCat) is nowhere to be seen. I’d given Skoryy a couple of fleeces that I’m not to fond of as a cuddle & when he needed to leave the kittens, he had the kittens on 1 fleece & had pulled the other over them…

Hawthorn Blossom (here the Hawthorn is known as the Whitethorn). The Hawthorn is also known as May, so this is my younger daughter’s tree as 1 of her names is Valmai meaning May Flower.

Foal has a name at last. Because her mother is the Lady Spangle, she is shimmer, but the Gypsy name is Chimmerella, so I compromised by using the Russian long Shch letter for the start of her name: щ. When she’s an adult & a mother herself, I may drop the ella part, but for now she’s Shchimmerella. Chimmerella appears in the Russian Gypsy song Farabella & I wanted to check if it was Shimm or Chimm before finally settling on her name. This meant finding the CD given to us by our wonderful, musical friend Vadim Kulitskyy of Talisman & listening to it.

Here are Rawnie Spangle & her foal in their borrowed field. It’s a bit blurry as I was trying to dodge the raindrops!
